little update and a little help

Hello everyone, been a while since last update.

megan has been here for a week and a half and is leaving tommorrow at 6 am (noooooo!!) so we have been traveling like crazy. Been in too many buses and have some sore behinds as a result! But im back to school today and will be posting many more photos of our adventures soon!

ALSO!

there is a woman who comes and cleans Marco and Margaritas house, her name is Nubia and she from Colombia. The job situation is very tough her and there, but she came to ecuador with her 5 children to try and find an easier economic situation. There is a lot of prejudice against Colombians here, due to the drug violence and trafficking within the country, so it is very hard for her and her husband to find work. She asked me today for some financial help, or if i could  think of anyone that could help her. All the schools are private here and the childrens families have to buy there own uniforms etc. Nubia would like to be able to send some of her older children to school and the little ones to a daycare while she works. I realize that many are wary of those who ask for financial help especially 4000 miles away, but i thought i would put this out there for those of you who would like to help her out a bit. Put it out there and it will come back.

saw new baby cows
learned how to milk a cow
drank milk from cow warm and fresh, (from a glass) (dont suggest it think i have a tape worm)

playing lots of soccer, going to capoeria classes, and going to start some salsa classes too!! New wave of essays and homework but im getting it completed little by little...

photos from papallacta with my host sister last saturday, and this hummingbird i spotted who was all fluffed up due to the cold... i promise hes a hummingbird but i know he looks huge!
Going to participate in the school olympics here, start tommorow i am only going to play soccer. Game tommorow at 4 and saturday at 9am (hopefully i wake up)
practiced capoeria yesterday with a friend and am completley sore, then had a soccer game today at 3. We won 11 to 0, but i dont really like scoring so abundantly, reminds me of the teams who used to do the same thing to the Quaker team, a little discompassionate... i think...

anyhoo... two midterms down one more to go...

Was in Otavalo yesterday, beautiful market. The ultimate shopping for sure! Shopped on three hours of sleep as i went dancing friday and whenever i start just cant stop!!! Today is Womens Day here, i have no idea if its international. Celebrating with an essay and a run. Maragarita did order pizza today though (the first takeout i have eaten here) so she didnt have to cook! I only have soccer once a week so looked (and think i found) some hip-hop lessons well see... Started "tutoring" (we just have conversation)the diversity director at the university in english. So i feel a little bit more useful! Yahoo

Bueno so old fotos de Quilatoa, sorry for the extreme delay. Will be posting (eventually) fotos of this last weekends adventure on the Ecuadorian part of the incan trail (less famous but no less beautiful) once i recieve them from friends. Played my first soccer game yesterday, it was very fun and i didnt have to hard of a time. Potluck tonite with my andinismo class, gonna go to the store and buy some avacados make some guac and call it good...
